What Does the Progressive Agriculture Foundation Provide?
Each year, the Progressive Agriculture Foundation provides a variety of support for communities selected to participate in the Progressive Agriculture Safety Day® program.
Examples of this support include but are not limited to the following:
- Training the Safety Day coordinator to work within the local community to plan and implement a Progressive Agriculture Safety Day®.
- Giving each trained coordinator up-to-date program materials that provide all the information needed to conduct a Progressive Agriculture Safety Day®.
- Providing a free T-shirt and take-home bag for each participant and volunteer.
- Publicizing the Safety Days in The Progressive Farmer, Farm Progress magazines, Farm Journal and to national media outlets.
- Providing sample media releases for the coordinator or publicity committee to personalize and send to local media.
- Securing liability and excess medical insurance to cover all who attend each Safety Day.
- Designing copy-ready posters and certificates (achievement and appreciation) for each Safety Day.
- Providing a large "Welcome" banner for use at each Safety Day.
- Having a portion of our website solely for the support and use of Safety Day coordinators.
- Sharing information on available resources.
- Evaluating the overall Safety Day program in order to improve future Progressive Agriculture Safety Days®.
- Providing reminders, updates, and other information via e-mail or by mail.
- Supporting Safety Day coordinators by a toll-free phone number and e-mail.
- Progressive Agriculture Safety Day® program staff members are always available to answer questions and help coordinators with problems specific to their Safety Day.
